Open Studio

Each year in June studios open to the public and it is absolutely amazing what talent there is.  I have never been involved with, but my weaving studio took part and through that I met a number of people who exhibited and then I went to have a look at some of them.
One of my spinning friends is a potter and I was amazed how talented she is.  She uses beautiful colours and unusual shapes.  She also makes porcelain buttons.  A basket weaver was showing some items there too.
Near by we found a studio of a photographer who travels the world.  What I liked particularly there were the portraits and the blue cyanotype pictures.
His wife is also very talented and works with beads and makes the most amazing jewellery.
Some members of the Guild also belong to another weaving group and they were showing their work too.  Quite diverse and all beautiful.
I spent most of the week at the studio and we had quite a few visitors and helpers and there was a lot of chatter, but we also did some work.  Weaving, spinning and tapestry weaving.  We had wonderful tea parties with home made cakes and mango icecream to die for!

So viel Talent, so viel Inspiration!....So much talent, so much inspiration!....
