There are still a lot of herbs in the garden, so I decided to flavour some oil with it.
I made Pesto some while ago and also froze and dried herbs.

Apples!

Our apple tree has gone berserk this year and there are loads of apples.  I am running out of ideas what else I could make with them!
 Selbst Mann muß mithelfen.
 Even hubby has to help.
Kuchen und Strudel... Cake and Strudel...
Kompott... Compot...
Gelee....  Jelly...
There are still more on the tree.

Bimbi's Sherry Trifle

Panettone
Sherry
Milch
Puddingpulver
I've made a trifle again - after my own design.
These are the ingredients:
Panettone, sherry, milk, custard powder, mixed fruit (anything you have available).
Cut the Panettone and line the bottom of the bowl and soak with sherry.
Cut the fruit and put it on the Panettone.
Cook the custard and pour over the fruit.
Decorate and serve.
The traditional version is made with sponge cake and often has  whipped cream as a top layer.
It is also very nice with berries of the forest.

Tisch Manieren/Table Manners

Peas are a bit of a thing in England!  Even my English book at Grammar School had a whole chapter about it.

I learnt that it was ok to use the fork as a shovel, as shown in the second photo.

That's a total no-no in England and shows bad upbringing.  Everything here is eaten with the fork turned over, tines down.  With meat and potatoes or even carrots it's totally doable, but with spaghetti or peas ...?
Hubby demonstrates correct pea eating.  First one squeezes and then one hopes!  Sometimes I feel sorry for him and make mashed potatoes so that one can really embed the little buggers.
