Muttertag Häkelnetz

Zum Muttertag sollte es was Selbstgemachtes sein und ich habe schon eine Weile nichts mehr gehäkelt und hatte noch so schöne Baumwolle da.  Braun, orange, shocking pink, helles blau, Gift grün.

For Mother's Day I wanted to make something and as I still had some nice cottons and hadn't done any crochet for a while that's what I chose.  Brown, orange, shocking pink, pale blue, lime green.

About Crochet hat immer so schöne Muster auf ihrem Blog und ich habe dieses Netz vor einiger Zeit schon einmal gemacht.  Die Muster sind sehr gut beschrieben und sie denkt immer an kleine Details, wie zum Beispiel hier die letzte Reihe am Henkel und die kurze Reihe zwischen den Henkeln.  Eigentlich hätte es halbe Stäbchen sein sollen direkt über dem Netz, aber bei mir gibt's immer kleine Abweichungen, könnte  auch nie 100% nach einem Rezept kochen! 

Es hat aber Spass gemacht mal wieder zu häkeln!

About Crochet has some lovely patterns on her blog and I have made this mesh bag before.  The patterns are very well described and she pays attention to small details, like here with the last row on the handle and the short row between the handles.  It should have been half dcs  just above the mesh, but my things always deviate a bit, just as I could not follow a recipe 100%!

It was good to do some crochet again though.

STOOL COVER

Neulich sah ich einen Hocker mit gehäkeltem Bezug und dachte sofort an meinen Badhocker der auch schon besser aussah.  Ich hatte noch schöne Baumwolle die ich im Sommer in Luino gekauft habe und die farblich perfekt passte.  Das Badezimmer ist weiss, hellgelb und ein wenig schwarz.  Die Stuhlbeine müssten wohl noch etwas poliert werden!!

The other day I saw a stool with a crochet cover which immediately made me think of my bathroom stool which needed a new cover.  I still had some nice cotton yarn which I bought in Luino this Summer in the perfect colours.  The bathroom is white, pale yellow and a little black.  The legs look like they could do with a bit of polish!!

 

Gehäkeltes

Gehäkelt habe ich schon als Mädchen.  Granny Squares für Decken oder Kissen, Blümchen, Kleider, Röcke, Tops, Mützen und sogar Hosen für Barbie und ihre Familie!!  Aber für mich habe ich noch nie was gehäkelt.  Dann fand ich das Lochmuster und dachte es würde sich für eine Jacke eignen.  Diese Baumwolle habe ich letzten Sommer gekauft um etwas mit Streifen zu stricken, aber irgendwie gefiel mir dann die Streifenidee nicht mehr so recht und habe die Wolle und meine Gedanken erst mal reifen lassen!

I have done crochet since childhood.  Granny squares for blankets or cushions, flowers, dresses, skirts, tops, hats and even trousers for Barbie and her family!!  But I have never done any crochet for myself.  Then I found this pattern and thought it might be suitable for a cardigan.  I bought this cotton last Summer to knit something with stripes, but somehow the stripe idea didn't appeal in the end and I left it and my thoughts to mature for a while!

Die Knöpfe sind aus Porzellan von einer Spinnfreundin die Töpferin ist.

The buttons are porcelain made by a spinning friend who is a potter.

Ich bin mit dem Resultat recht zufrieden......   I'm quite pleased with the result...

Yummy Colours

For a while now I have been hunting around for a particular mercerised cotton yarn with a bit of sheen at an affordable price.  Finally I have found a source, Country Crafts, and there are more colours.  Aren't these colours just brilliant?  Perfect for small crochet projects I have in mind - all I need is a bit of spare time to play!

Eine ganze Weile schon suche ich nach mercerisierter Baumwolle mit etwas Glanz zu einem erschwinglichen Preis.  Endlich habe ich sie gefunden bei Country Crafts und es gibt noch mehr Farben.  Sind das nicht fantastische Farben?  Perfekt für kleine Häkelprojekte die in meinen Kopf rumschwirren - nur brauche ich etwas freie Zeit zum Spielen!

Blümchen/Flowers

Ich hatte mal wieder Lust auf Häkeln, aber mir ist es immer zu umständlich die Anleitungen zu lesen, oder sie sind gerade nicht griffbereit.  Da häkle ich dann einfach frei Schnauze.

 I felt like doing some crochet work, but I'm too impatient to bother with patterns, or they are not to hand just when I want to get cracking.  So I just make it up as I go along.

Häkeltasche/Crochet Bag

Da hab' ich doch neulich eine Anleitung für eine Häkeltasche hier entdeckt und noch Baumwollgarn rumliegen und hab' das gleich ausprobiert.  Irgendwie wurde die Tasche unten etwas spitziger wie angegeben und oben hab' ich sie frei Schnauze gehäkelt, da ich sie unterwegs fertig gemacht habe und natürlich vergessen hatte die Anleitung auszudrucken!!

Es geht unheimlich viel rein und bei meiner Größe hätte sie auch nicht länger werden dürfen da sie sich ganz schön in die Länge zieht.

The other day I discovered this pattern here and still had some cotton yarn lying around and gave it a go.  Somehow it turned out a bit more pointy at the bottom than expected and the top end I made up as I went along as I finished the bag abroad and had forgotten to print off the instructions!

There is a lot of room in it and it's a good job I didn't make it any bigger with my height as it stretches a long way.

 

Mandala

 Schon lange wollte ich mal EIN Mandala häkeln und dann merkte ich, daß sie süchtig machen!

 I have wanted to crochet ONE Mandala for ages and noticed that they are addictive!

 

Granny Squares

Schon lange will ich mal wieder Granny Squares machen, aber ich fange wahrscheinlich mit einem etwas kleineren Projekt an - obwohl's ganz gut rauss kommt!
